Baked Brie Bites
Description
Baked Brie Bites use diced Brie cheese cubes placed on soft crescent roll dough cut into small squares. Each piece is topped with cranberry sauce, then baked in a mini muffin tin until the dough turns golden and the Brie becomes soft and melty. The cranberry sauce adds a fruity tartness that complements the rich cheese and buttery dough. The small, individually sized portions make these bites convenient for sharing and presentation.
The preparation includes rolling out the dough, slicing it into small squares, and placing these into a greased mini muffin pan before layering Brie and cranberry sauce. Baking requires only 12 minutes in a moderate oven, allowing the cheese to soften without overcooking the dough. Cooling them slightly helps maintain their shape while keeping the cheese creamy.
You can experiment with toppings such as nuts or substitute puff pastry for crescent dough, but the original recipe highlights the classic cranberry-Brie pairing. The made bites are best served warm shortly after baking for the soft texture of Brie to be enjoyed fully.
Storing leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge keeps them for up to five days, although freshness is maximized when served immediately. Brie can be pre-cut a couple of days before assembling to save time on the day of serving.
