Baked Brie in Crescent Rolls
Description
Baked Brie in Crescent Rolls features a whole wheel of brie wrapped securely in layers of crescent dough, sealing the cheese inside a tender, flaky crust. Once baked until the pastry is golden brown, the brie softens to a luscious, spreadable consistency. The dough is folded and sealed carefully around the cheese to prevent leaks during baking, and an egg wash brushed over the surface promotes an even, glossy finish.
This preparation yields a warm centerpiece appetizer that balances the rich creaminess of brie with the buttery layers of the crescent roll dough. When served warm alongside crackers and fresh fruit, it offers an accessible, shareable dish suitable for gatherings or casual entertaining. The texture contrast between crisp pastry and melted cheese highlights the indulgent characteristics of this recipe.
Leftover baked brie can be refrigerated in an airtight container and gently reheated in short bursts in the microwave to restore softness. This recipe is simple yet yields a visually appealing and flavorful appetizer with minimal hands-on cooking.
