Baked Brie in Crescent Rolls

Report
This baked brie wrapped in crescent roll dough creates a golden, flaky pastry encasing a warm, soft wheel of creamy brie cheese. The gentle baking ensures the cheese becomes nicely melty inside the buttery dough, making it ideal for serving with crackers or fruit as an appetizer. The beaten egg wash gives the pastry a shiny, golden crust for an inviting presentation.

Description

Baked Brie in Crescent Rolls features a whole wheel of brie wrapped securely in layers of crescent dough, sealing the cheese inside a tender, flaky crust. Once baked until the pastry is golden brown, the brie softens to a luscious, spreadable consistency. The dough is folded and sealed carefully around the cheese to prevent leaks during baking, and an egg wash brushed over the surface promotes an even, glossy finish.

This preparation yields a warm centerpiece appetizer that balances the rich creaminess of brie with the buttery layers of the crescent roll dough. When served warm alongside crackers and fresh fruit, it offers an accessible, shareable dish suitable for gatherings or casual entertaining. The texture contrast between crisp pastry and melted cheese highlights the indulgent characteristics of this recipe.

Leftover baked brie can be refrigerated in an airtight container and gently reheated in short bursts in the microwave to restore softness. This recipe is simple yet yields a visually appealing and flavorful appetizer with minimal hands-on cooking.

  • 1 brie 8-12 oz, wheel
  • 1 egg beaten, large

Fold the corners of the bottom piece of crescent dough around the top of the brie.  Use your hands to gently seal the crescent dough around the brie.
  4. Brush the pastry all over with the beaten egg with a pastry brush.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.  Let the brie sit for 10-15 minutes
  6. Move the cheese to a serving platter.  Then serve warm with crackers and fruit. Enjoy!

Notes
