Baked Brie Phyllo Cups
Description
Baked Brie Phyllo Cups start with bite-sized mini phyllo dough shells filled with small cubes of Brie cheese, which is soft and mild. The topping is a mixture of craisins and chopped walnuts or pecans combined with honey, creating a sweet and slightly tart complement to the rich cheese. The assembled cups bake at a moderate temperature for 5 to 7 minutes, allowing the cheese to soften and slightly melt but not run.
The phyllo shells crisp up in the oven, adding texture and structure to the soft Brie filling. The mix of honey and fruit enhances the flavor with natural sweetness and a chewy texture from the craisins balanced by crunchy nuts.
These cups are best served immediately while warm to enjoy the contrast between the creamy Brie and the crisp shell. They make a handy hors d'oeuvre for gatherings or a refined snack option with minimal prep time.
