Ingredients

Servings
  • 8 ounce Brie cheese round of
  • 5 black mission figs cut into quarters
  • 1/4 cup walnuts roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • baguette for serving, slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Unwrap the brie and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a shallow baking dish that you could serve the cheese in like a pie plate.
  2. Pile the figs and walnuts on top of the Brie and drizzle liberally with honey.
  3. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese is soft to the touch on the side of the rind.
  4. Remove from oven and transfer to a serving plate, then drizzle with additional honey and serve with sliced baguette or crackers.

Notes

  • Alternatively, if figs are not in season, you could just use 1/2 cup of fig jam in place of the fresh figs and honey.
