Baked Brie with Maple Roasted Cranberries
Description
This recipe begins by roasting fresh cranberries tossed with maple syrup at 350°F until they start bursting and become juicy, about 10-15 minutes. Then, a 7-inch wheel of Brie is topped with the roasted berries and baked an additional 7 minutes to soften the cheese until runny and spreadable. Garnishing with fresh rosemary sprigs and a few raw cranberries adds aromatic and visual interest.
The finished dish combines the gooey richness of baked Brie with the sweet and tangy flavor of maple-infused cranberries. The slow roasting concentrates the berries’ brightness while softening their texture. This balance of creamy and fruity with herbal fragrance works well as an appetizer served immediately with crackers or sliced baguette for spreading.
Both Brie wheels and cranberries store well, so keeping these ingredients on hand enables quick preparation of this seasonal appetizer when needed.
