Baked Club Sliders

Baked Club Sliders layer turkey, ham, bacon, and provolone on Hawaiian rolls with a spread of mayonnaise. The sliders are assembled in pans, then topped with a butter mixture flavored with spicy brown mustard, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and poppy seeds before baking. The baking softens the rolls while melting the cheese and melding the meats, creating a savory sandwich good for gatherings or meal prep. The dish’s layered meats and tangy butter topping make it a satisfying slider option.

Description

Baked Club Sliders combine thinly sliced turkey and ham with crispy bacon and melted provolone cheese layered inside soft Hawaiian rolls. Mayonnaise spreads on the bottom halves to add moisture and flavor. The tops of the assembled sliders are brushed generously with a butter mixture seasoned with brown mustard, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and poppy seeds that adds moisture, a slight tang, and aromatic notes. Baking at 350°F allows the cheese to melt and the butter topping to soak into the buns lightly, resulting in a warm, cohesive sandwich with a rich interplay of meats and cheese. They can be baked immediately or stored in the refrigerator before baking, making them versatile for meal planning or entertaining.

This recipe yields a large quantity suitable for groups or meal prepping. Using Hawaiian rolls ensures soft, slightly sweet bread that balances the savory fillings. Breaking bacon into pieces helps distribute its smoky crunch evenly. The topping adds a subtle complexity that complements the sandwich layers.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 24 hawaiian rolls or slider buns
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 pounds turkey thin sliced
  • 2 pounds ham thin sliced
  • 14 lices Bacon
  • 12 lices provolone cheese cut int half
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown mustard spicy
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grab a 9-inch x 13-inch pan and an 8-inch x 8-inch pan, large baking sheet, OR an oversized baking dish for these sliders.
  2. Cook bacon on the stovetop or in the oven. (If using the oven to cook bacon, preheat to 400 degrees F instead and then reduce heat to 350 when bacon is done.) Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  3. Slice rolls in half to create a set of tops and bottoms. Place bottom halves into pans and spread with mayo.
  4. Layer bottom buns with turkey, ham, bacon (breaking it into pieces to fit as needed), and then half slices of cheese. Each layer should cover the previous layer edge to edge. Place top buns over the filling.
  5. In a medium bowl, melt butter. Mix in mustard, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, and poppy seeds. Brush butter mixture over the rolls or pour it evenly all over the top.
  6. At this point, you can get baking OR cover sandwiches with plastic wrap and store them in the fridge until ready to serve.
  7. Bake sliders for 15-18 minutes until cheese is melted and rolls are golden on top.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before cutting into individual sliders. Serve warm.
