Baked Garlic Lemon Pork Chops

Baked Garlic Lemon Pork Chops offer a juicy and flavorful main dish with bone-in chops seared to a golden crust, then baked in a buttery sauce featuring garlic, brown sugar, maple syrup, lemon juice, and Italian herbs. The result is tender pork enhanced by a sweet, tangy glaze and fragrant herbs, finished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges for brightness.

Description

This recipe begins by seasoning bone-in pork chops with salt and pepper and searing them in olive oil for a browned exterior. A sauce is prepared in the pan by melting butter and stirring in minced garlic, brown sugar, maple syrup, Italian seasoning, oregano, red pepper flakes, and fresh lemon juice, releasing rich and balanced flavors.

The seared pork chops are returned to the pan, and the sauce is spooned over them before transferring the pan to a 400°F oven to bake. Baking continues until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F, ensuring a tender and juicy texture. The pork is then garnished with freshly chopped parsley and served with lemon wedges to add a citrusy brightness that lifts the dish.

This method of finishing pork chops combines pan-searing with oven baking to create a flavorful crust and an infused sauce that penetrates the meat. The sauce offers sweet, savory, and tangy notes complementing the pork's natural flavor.
