Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders are coated in a seasoned flour mixture, dipped in an egg wash with garlic powder, and covered in toasted bread crumbs before baking until golden. A homemade tomato-based dipping sauce flavored with minced garlic, thyme, and salt accompanies the tenders. This method produces a crispy exterior without frying, making it practical for a flavorful, tender chicken finger dish.

Description

This recipe for Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders uses chicken breast strips coated firstly in a flour mixture with salt and Parmesan, then dipped in eggs mixed with milk, salt, and garlic powder, and finally rolled in golden toasted bread crumbs. Baking at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes crisps the coating while cooking the chicken thoroughly. The bread crumbs are toasted in a pan beforehand, adding a deeper crunch and flavor without frying.

The accompanying dipping sauce combines canned tomato sauce, minced garlic, dried thyme, and salt, creating a herbaceous and savory complement to the baked tenders. The garlic flavor is built into both the coating and the sauce for consistent taste.

These chicken tenders can be served warm alongside sides like french fries, mashed potatoes, or salad, suitable for casual meals or snacks. You can use chicken tenders or sliced chicken breast depending on preference. The recipe balances crispness and tenderness with a savory Parmesan and garlic profile while providing a simple oven-baked approach.

The chicken strips should be arranged on parchment paper for even baking and easy cleanup. Toasting the bread crumbs separately before coating ensures better texture. The dipping sauce can be prepared quickly and stored for convenience.
