Baked Omelette Roll-Up
Description
This Baked Omelette Roll-Up starts with a mixture of eggs, milk, and flour seasoned with salt and black pepper. The batter is poured into a broiled 9x13 pan and baked at a high temperature until set, resulting in a firm egg sheet without runny spots. After initial baking, shredded cheddar and favorite toppings like bacon, tomato, and others are added on top, then briefly baked further to melt the cheese and warm the fillings.
The cooked egg layer is then loosened from the pan edges and rolled tightly from either side, depending on preferred size. This creates a compact omelette roll that can be sliced into individual portions. The dish offers a combination of creamy egg texture with melted cheese and savory filling, suitable for a range of tastes.
The roll-up presentation makes it convenient for serving multiple people or storing leftovers. Optional sour cream and salsa toppings add flavor contrast. The flexibility of toppings allows customization based on personal preferences or available ingredients, making it a practical recipe for various occasions.
