Baked Ranch Chicken Wings
Description
This recipe begins by preheating the oven to 425°F and preparing a seasoning blend from ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and baking powder. The wings are coated with olive oil then tossed thoroughly in the seasoning to ensure even coverage. After baking on a wire rack for 20 minutes, the wings are flipped and baked another 15 minutes. A final step involves flipping again, brushing melted butter over the wings, and sprinkling the reserved ranch seasoning before baking an additional 5 to 7 minutes to enhance crispness and flavor.
The baking powder in the seasoning helps draw moisture from the skin, creating a crispy texture without frying. This method produces wings with a golden, crisp exterior and flavorful ranch seasoning this recipe recommends serving with ranch dressing for dipping.
If using store-bought ranch seasoning, using only two tablespoons is advised as it can be stronger than homemade seasoning mixes.
