Ingredients

  • ½ lb Shrimp peeled and deveined, raw
  • 2 garlic minced, or 1/2 tsp garlic powder, cloves
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 4 tsp parsley dry
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 4 lices bread wheat or rye works well) quartered

Instructions

For The Shrimp Topping

  1. Finely chop the peeled shrimp.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together garlic, oil, soy sauce, parsley, and ginger. Add the cut shrimp. Cover and let this mixture marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour. (At the same time, remove your cream cheese from the refrigerator to ensure it is soft enough for the next step.)
  3. When you are ready to make the toasts, preheat the oven to 375F.
  4. Mix softened cream cheese with the shrimp mixture.

For The Toasts

  1. Place quartered bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 3-5 minutes, until lightly crisp.
  2. Remove toast from the oven and increase oven temperature to 475F.
  3. Top the toast with a heaping spoonful of the shrimp mixture. Return the toasts to oven and bake 15-20 minutes, until shrimp is opaque and cooked through.
  4. Serve warm.
