Baked Steak with Vegetables

Baked Steak with Vegetables combines tender flank steak with roasted asparagus, broccoli, bell pepper, and purple onion for a simple, balanced meal. The steak is baked at a high temperature to achieve a desirable doneness while the vegetables soften and caramelize alongside it. The use of neutral oil and seasoning allows the natural flavors of the meat and vegetables to stand out. This method requires minimal cleanup and yields a hearty main course complemented by the fresh, textured vegetables.

Description

Baked Steak with Vegetables features a 2-pound flank steak prepared simply by rubbing with oil and salt, then baked at 400°F. After initial cooking, a vibrant mix of asparagus, broccoli, purple onion, and bell pepper is added to the baking sheet to roast with the steak. The vegetables are seasoned with salt and pepper to enhance their natural flavors. The steak finishes cooking to the desired level, with an option to broil briefly to brown the exterior. After resting, the steak is sliced into strips and served with the tender, roasted vegetables. This approach makes a straightforward and filling dish that highlights the contrast between meaty steak and crisp-tender vegetables.
