Baked Sweet Potato Fries with Chipotle Ranch

Baked Sweet Potato Fries are coated with arrowroot starch and seasoned with a blend of spices before roasting to achieve a crisp texture with soft centers. The fries feature flavors from garlic, oregano, cayenne, and nutritional yeast optionally adding a subtle savory depth. Paired with a creamy chipotle ranch made from ground cashews, almond milk, and herbs, this combination delivers a flavorful and satisfying snack or side. The chipotle ranch adds smoky heat and tanginess that complements the natural sweetness of the potatoes.

Description

This recipe for Baked Sweet Potato Fries uses thinly sliced sweet potatoes tossed in arrowroot starch and an oil and spice mixture, including oregano, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and nutritional yeast, to create flavorful fries with a slight crispness achieved through baking and a brief broil. The starch coating helps enhance browning and texture. The chipotle ranch dipping sauce is blended from ground cashews, almond milk, olive oil, and ranch seasoning combined with chipotle pepper powder and apple cider vinegar, providing a creamy and smoky accompaniment. Baking at 425°F produces fries tender on the inside with browned edges. The dipping sauce balances the sweet and spicy notes of the fries. This snack works well as an appetizer or alongside meals seeking a flavorful vegetable side.
