Baked White Fish with Everything Bagel Crust Recipe
Description
This recipe uses white fish fillets such as halibut, cod, sea bass, or grouper, which are patted dry and placed on a parchment-lined baking sheet. A mixture of everything bagel seasoning, almond flour, and lemon pepper seasoning is prepared to form the flavorful crust. Mayonnaise or paleo mayo is brushed lightly over the top and sides of the fish to act as a binder for the crust mixture.
The seasoning mixture is then pressed onto the mayonnaise-coated fish, ensuring coverage. The fish is baked in a preheated oven at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes depending on thickness, cooking it through to a tender, flaky texture while creating a savory crust with hints of onion, sesame, poppy seed, and lemon pepper flavors from the seasoning blend.
Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consumed within three days. Freezing is not recommended as it may affect the crust texture after baking. The dish is best served fresh immediately after baking for optimal flavor and crust crispness.
Ingredients
- 4 White fish fillets (halibut, cod, sea bass, grouper)
