Balsamic and Garlic Roasted Cauliflower

Report
Balsamic and Garlic Roasted Cauliflower features white and purple cauliflower florets tossed with olive oil, garlic powder, balsamic vinegar, and seasonings, then roasted until tender with browned edges. The result is a flavorful vegetable side with a balance of tangy acidity and savory garlic notes, enhanced by crisp roasting.

Description

This recipe combines equal parts white and purple cauliflower cut into medium-sized chunks, seasoned with olive oil, garlic powder, balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper. The tossing ensures even coating of flavors before spreading in a roasting pan.

Baking in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 25 to 30 minutes softens the cauliflower while allowing the edges to caramelize. The balsamic vinegar adds a subtle sweetness and tang that complements the roasted garlic aroma coming from the garlic powder.

This side dish pairs well with a variety of main courses and can be served warm. Variations include adding Parmesan shavings under the grill for richness or a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten the dish. Even seasoning adjustments like fajita spices can customize the flavor profile. Ensuring cauliflower pieces are uniformly sized and avoiding overcrowding the pan helps achieve crisp, non-steamed florets.

The notes stress techniques for roasting to maximize crispness, flavor adaptability, and presentation tips to enhance the dish.
