  • 1/2 cup whole wheat all-purpose flour or spelt flour or regular all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds black or white will work
  • 4 large egg
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil or other mild vegetable oil such as canola or grapeseed, liquid
  • 1 cup banana from about 2 large or 3 medium bananas, mashed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
