Banana Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal

Banana Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal blends ripe bananas, cinnamon, oats, and vanilla protein powder into a baked casserole with a soft, hearty texture. It's lightly sweetened with maple syrup and finished with a simple vanilla glaze. This baked oatmeal provides a filling breakfast or snack option with a naturally sweet and spiced flavor profile enhanced by banana and cinnamon.

Description

This Banana Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal incorporates old fashioned oats and vanilla protein powder for body and nutrition. The addition of ripe banana and cinnamon infuses the dish with natural sweetness and warm spice. A mixture of egg whites, milk, and maple syrup binds the oats and flavorings together, which is baked until firm but tender.

Once baked, the oatmeal is topped with a light icing made from powdered sugar, vanilla, a pinch of salt, and milk to add a subtle glaze that complements the cinnamon and banana. The oatmeal is prepared in a 13x9 inch pan and yields six servings, making it convenient for sharing or meal prep.

This dish works well for breakfast or a wholesome snack that can be sliced and served warm or at room temperature. The vanilla protein powder adds an element of sustained energy which can be beneficial in the morning.
