Ingredients

Servings

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 8 pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • cooking oil for frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey

For Serving:

  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • ½ cup pickles sliced

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Marinate the Chicken – Soak chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Coating – Mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Step 3: Coat and Fry – Dredge chicken in the flour mixture, shake off excess, and deep-fry at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Make the Sauce – In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth.
  5. Step 5: Assemble the Sliders – Toss fried chicken in bang bang sauce, place on slider buns, add lettuce and pickles, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Fry chicken ahead of time and reheat in an air fryer before serving.
  • Customizing the Flavor: Add extra sriracha for more heat or use Greek yogurt instead of mayo for a lighter sauce.
  • Serving Suggestions: Pair with fries, coleslaw, or a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Allergy-Friendly Options: Use gluten-free flour and buns for a gluten-free version.
  • Storage Tips: Store leftover chicken separately and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
