Basil Pesto Recipe

This is my very best pesto recipe that is super easy to make! Classic basil pesto loaded with toasted pine nuts and parmesan cheese - I keep a batch of this in my fridge every week to elevate meals. Make some today!

Ingredients

  • basil 4 cups fresh
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese finely grated
  • ½ cup pine nuts toasted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • salt kosher salt
  • black pepper kosher salt
  • ½ to ¾ cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the basil, garlic, parmesan, pine nuts, lemon juice and a big pinch of salt and pepper in a food processor. Pulse until small crumbs remain and everything is combined. With the processor on, stream in the olive oil until the mixture comes together.
  2. Taste and season with more salt and pepper if needed. Use as desired! This freezes great too.
