BBQ Cauliflower Bites

BBQ Cauliflower Bites turn bite-sized cauliflower florets into a flavorful, crispy snack or side dish by coating them in barbecue sauce and baking at a high temperature. Finishing with a sprinkle of black pepper, sea salt, and chopped Italian parsley adds seasoning and freshness. The method crisps the cauliflower edges while keeping the pieces tender inside, creating a satisfying texture contrast and smoky, tangy flavor.

Description

BBQ Cauliflower Bites use whole cauliflower heads cut into small pieces that are tossed thoroughly with barbecue sauce to coat each floret. They are arranged in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil, parchment, and a silicone mat to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking. Baking at 450°F for 20 to 25 minutes crisps the outer edges of the florets, concentrating the barbecue flavor.

After baking, the bites are seasoned with freshly ground black pepper, fine sea salt, and chopped Italian parsley for added brightness and seasoning depth. The cauliflower develops a slightly caramelized crust from the sauce, offering a chewy exterior and tender texture inside.

These bites work well as an appetizer, snack, or side dish and provide a vegetable-based alternative to typical barbecue items. They are easy to prepare with common ingredients and suitable for serving warm.
