BBQ Chicken Marinade

This BBQ Chicken Marinade combines ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and spices to create a balanced sweet and tangy flavor that tenderizes the chicken. Ideal for thinner, boneless cuts like chicken breasts or thighs, it adds a smoky depth while ensuring even cooking without burning the sugar content.

Description

The BBQ Chicken Marinade melds savory and sweet elements, including dry spices like smoked paprika and garlic powder, with tangy apple cider vinegar and sweeteners such as brown sugar and honey. These ingredients not only flavor the meat but also work to tenderize it during marination.

Marinating for at least two hours allows the chicken to absorb the flavors. Using thinner, boneless cuts is recommended to ensure quick, even cooking and to avoid burning from the sugars during grilling or broiling. Cooking over medium heat prevents charring while achieving a nicely caramelized exterior.

This marinade provides a versatile sauce base suitable for grilling, baking, or broiling, making it a practical choice for backyard cookouts or family dinners.

Use thin, boneless chicken cuts like tenders, breasts, or thighs for even cooking and to prevent burning.Cook the marinated chicken over medium heat to avoid charring from the sugars in the marinade.
