BBQ Hawaiian Flatbread Pizzas

These Hawaiian flatbread pizzas use naan as a quick crust base topped with barbecue sauce, Havarti and Parmesan cheeses, fresh pineapple chunks, and cooked bacon and ham. Baking until the cheese melts and crust crisps creates a balance of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors with a crisp yet chewy texture. A sprinkle of parsley adds freshness.

Description

BBQ Hawaiian Flatbread Pizzas feature naan flatbreads brushed with olive oil and pre-baked until golden at the edges. This step crisps the crust and prevents sogginess once toppings are added. The pizzas are layered with a generous amount of barbecue sauce, which provides a tangy and sweet base that contrasts with the salty meats.

The cheeses combine creamy Havarti and sharp Parmesan, melting into a flavorful, gooey topping. Fresh pineapple chunks provide juicy bursts of sweetness that complement the smoky cooked bacon and deli ham slices. This mix of textures and tastes creates a distinctive flatbread pizza experience that’s easy to prepare and customize.

These flatbread pizzas can be served as appetizers, casual dinners, or party snacks. Garnishing with fresh parsley adds color and a mild herbal note. Additional toppings like spinach or sautéed onions can be added for more freshness or depth, as noted in the original recipe comments.
