BBQ Meatloaf

BBQ Meatloaf combines lean ground beef, grated onion, and breadcrumbs bound with an egg to create a hearty loaf. The mixture is formed into a rectangular shape, then brushed with BBQ sauce before baking. This method produces a moist interior with a flavorful glazed crust from the BBQ sauce. The meatloaf is cooked until it reaches a safe internal temperature, ensuring a juicy and well-seasoned dish, suitable for a family dinner or meal prep.

Description

BBQ Meatloaf features lean ground beef mixed with freshly grated onion and seasoned with salt and pepper. Breadcrumbs and an egg are added to hold the mixture together. Formed into a neat loaf on a prepared baking sheet, it is coated with a layer of tangy BBQ sauce that caramelizes during baking. The baking process at 350°F allows the meat to cook evenly, maintaining moisture and texture throughout. Using a thermometer to check for 160°F ensures food safety without overcooking.

The BBQ glaze adds a sweet and smoky flavor that complements the savory meat and subtle sharpness of the onion. This meatloaf can be served hot with classic sides like mashed potatoes or green vegetables, making it a substantial centerpiece for a meal.
