Beef Kabobs in Oven

Beef Kabobs in Oven consist of marinated sirloin steak cubes threaded with colorful bell peppers and red onion, baked until medium rare to medium. The marinade uses coconut aminos and olive oil for a balanced savory-sweet flavor, optionally finished with pesto.

Description

This recipe uses grass-fed sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes, marinated in coconut aminos or soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, sea salt, and coconut sugar. After a 30-minute marinade, the beef is threaded onto skewers alternating with 1-inch pieces of red, yellow, and orange bell peppers and red onion.

The kabobs bake at 350°F for 25 minutes total, flipped halfway through, to reach at least 135°F internal temperature for medium rare. The result is tender beef with vegetables softened but still vibrant. Optional pesto drizzled over the finished kabobs adds fresh herb flavor.

These broiled kabobs work well as a main dish served with sides like rice or salad. The marinating step enhances meat flavor while keeping it juicy during oven cooking. Choosing quality sirloin and properly managing internal temperature ensures a tender bite. Vegetable choices are flexible, allowing for personal variation in colors and taste. Pesto is an optional addition to complement the beef and peppers.

For ideal flavor, marinate longer than 10 minutes but 30 minutes is recommended. Use a meat thermometer to verify doneness. Switching coconut sugar for brown sugar is acceptable in the marinade. Careful skewer threading alternating ingredients promotes even cooking.
