Ingredients
Meatballs
- 450 gms ground beef 1 lb
- 50 gms parmigiano reggiano finely grated, 1.75 oz
- 100 gms breadcrumbs 3.5 oz
- 1 tbsp parsley chopped
- 1 pinch nutmeg grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
Agrodolce (Italian sweet and sour) sauce
- 1 tbsp parsley chopped
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 anchovies
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 celery chopped, stalk
- 4 tbsp tomato puree passata
- 2 tbsp raisins
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 sage leaves
- 1 tsp rosemary dried
- 30 ml white wine 1 oz
- 30 ml water 1 oz
- 25 ml red wine vinegar 0.85 oz
- 1 tbsp sugar
- salt to taste
