Beef Tips and Rice Recipe
Description
Beef Tips and Rice begins by seasoning sirloin cubes and browning them in oil to develop a caramelized exterior. Aromatics including sliced onions, green bell peppers, and cremini mushrooms are sautéed alongside to build flavor. After adding minced garlic briefly, Worcestershire sauce and reduced-sodium beef broth are poured in to create a simmering liquid that tenderizes the beef over about an hour.
The slow simmer yields tender, flavorful beef tips immersed in a rich and slightly spicy broth enhanced by Italian seasoning and cumin. This savory mixture is served over cooked rice, which soaks up the flavorful juices.
For convenience, this recipe can be adapted to a slow cooker by combining all ingredients except rice and cooking on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 7 to 8 hours. This adaptation simplifies preparation while still tenderizing the beef and melding flavors deeply.
