Berry Smoothie with Oatmeal

This healthy Berry Smoothie with Oatmeal makes an excellent healthy breakfast blackberry smoothie or snack that will taste delicious and keep you full for hours.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1 Tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup frozen berries blackberries, strawberries, raspberries

Instructions

  1. Put the oats in a blender and blend for 30 seconds to make the oats powdery. Or, if you prefer, add the almond milk with the oats and let soak for 15 minutes to an hour to soften the oats before making the smoothie.
  2. Add the almond milk, ice, sugar or honey and berries and blend.
  3. Add 1/4 of water if you the smoothie is too thick and mix some more.
