Best Bean Dip
Description
Best Bean Dip is a baked dish featuring refried beans mixed with Greek yogurt, mild green chiles, salsa, and an array of spices including chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder. The mixture is combined with shredded cheddar cheese, spread into a baking dish, and topped with additional cheese before baking to create a creamy, cheesy surface. Once baked, it is finished with fresh toppings like green onions, cilantro, avocado, jalapeños, chopped tomatoes, and queso fresco, which add a fresh contrast to the smooth, warm base.
The dip has a rich, smooth texture, balancing mild heat from the green chiles and spices with the creamy tang of yogurt and melted cheese. Baking melds the flavors and creates a warm, inviting dish with a slightly golden top layer of cheese.
Served warm with tortilla chips, this bean dip is suitable for appetizers or casual snack occasions. The colorful garnishes also add freshness and visual appeal, perfect for sharing at parties or family meals.
