Best Chex Mix Recipe

This Chex Mix combines rice, corn, and wheat cereals with club crackers, pretzels, Cheerios, and peanuts for a textured, crunchy snack. A buttery Worcestershire seasoning coats the mix before baking low and slow to crisp and blend flavors. The resulting snack is savory and crunchy, ideal for casual snacking or parties.

Description

This version of Chex Mix layers multiple cereal types and salty snacks with a butter-based seasoning sauce featuring Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, and garlic powder. Combining dry ingredients first and mixing with the flavorful wet sauce ensures even coating. Spreading the mix on a lined baking sheet and baking at 250°F for an hour gently crisps everything, allowing the seasoning to absorb without burning or drying out the components.

The final mix has a balanced crunch with savory, umami, and mildly spiced notes. The array of cereals and pretzels offers textural variety, while the peanuts add nutty richness. Cooling on paper towels post-baking prevents sogginess from residual oil. Storing in airtight containers maintains freshness.
