Best Ever Healthy Grilled Pork Tenderloin

This grilled pork tenderloin features a marinade of lemon juice, garlic, Italian herbs, Dijon mustard, and honey, creating a balance of savory, tangy, and sweet flavors. The pork is marinated briefly and then grilled to develop a nicely charred exterior while keeping the interior tender and juicy. Turning and basting the tenderloin during grilling ensures even cooking and flavor infusion, making it suitable for a main dish with simple sides.

Description

Best Ever Healthy Grilled Pork Tenderloin uses a marinade that combines lemon juice, minced garlic, an Italian seasoning blend, Dijon mustard, honey, and basic seasonings to impart a fresh and lightly sweet flavor to pork tenderloin. The pork is patted dry before marinating for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate without overpowering the natural meat taste. Grilling over medium heat with periodic turning and brushing of the reserved marinade creates a nicely caramelized exterior while preserving tenderness inside.

The resulting tenderloin has a balance of tang from the lemon and subtle herb notes with a touch of honeyed sweetness. It lends itself well to slicing for serving alongside vegetables, potatoes, or salads. Resting the meat after grilling helps retain juices and improves slicing.

A helpful tip for thicker tenderloins over 2.5 inches is to cut them lengthwise into thinner pieces before marinating and grilling. This ensures thorough cooking without pink in the center for those preferring fully cooked meat. The recipe’s marinade and method offer a straightforward approach to a flavorful grilled pork tenderloin.

  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons honey

Instructions

  2. Stir together lemon juice, garlic, dried herbs, oil, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard, and honey.

Notes

  • If the pork tenderloin is thicker than 2 ½ inches and you prefer no pink inside, cut it lengthwise into two thinner pieces before marinating and grilling.

  • Allow the grilled pork to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain the juices and improve texture.
