Description
This strawberry lemonade starts by pureeing hulled fresh strawberries to extract vibrant, sweet berry flavor. Freshly squeezed lemon juice provides a tart contrast, while sugar sweetens the mixture to balance acidity. Cold water dilutes the concentrated flavors to a refreshing level.
Before serving, a variety of chopped fresh fruits like mango, watermelon, strawberries, pineapple, and cantaloupe are added, along with ice, adding texture and bursts of seasonal fruit flavors. The lemonade is smooth yet lively due to both the blended and chunkier fruit components.
Ideal for serving chilled on warm days, this beverage provides both hydration and a pleasant blend of tart and sweet. Using fresh ingredients and adjusting sugar to taste allows for a customized level of sweetness and brightness.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb strawberries hulled and halved
- 6 lemon freshly juiced, plural
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 cups water cold
- Fresh fruit mangos, watermelon, strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, chopped
Instructions
- Place strawberries in blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a pitcher with lemon juice, sugar and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Add chopped fresh fruit right (we added ¼ cups of each of the following - chopped mangos, watermelons, strawberries, pineapple and cantaloupe) before serving, along with ice. ENJOY!
