Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 medium yellow onion diced
- 1 (8 ounce can) water chestnut finely chopped
- 1 cup green cabbage shredded
- 1 teaspoon ginger grated
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1 head butter lettuce
- 1/2 cup green onions sliced
Sauce
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon Chili garlic sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the sesame oil and add in the ground chicken.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper and cook the chicken thoroughly until it is browned. About 6-8 minutes
- Add in the diced onion and let it sauté alongside the chicken for about 3-4 minutes.
- Next, add in the water chestnuts, cabbage, garlic and ginger. Stir and let cook for 5 minutes.
- Add into the cooked chicken and vegetables the sauce mixture and let cook all together for another 5 minutes.
- Serve in lettuce cup and garnish with green onions.
