Big Mac Pasta Salad

Big Mac Pasta Salad combines elbow pasta, cooked ground beef, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and sweet relish tossed in a creamy Big Mac-style sauce. Toasted sesame seed bun croutons add crunch, creating a cold pasta salad that echoes the flavors of the classic sandwich in a different form, suitable for picnics or casual meals.

Description

This pasta salad begins by toasting diced sesame seed buns with canola oil and garlic salt to create homemade croutons. Elbow pasta is cooked and rinsed, then mixed with browned ground beef and diced onions cooled to room temperature. Fresh vegetables including shredded lettuce and halved grape tomatoes, along with shredded cheddar cheese and sweet relish, are combined in a large bowl and dressed with Big Mac sauce, which emulates the signature burger dressing.

The salad is tossed gently to combine flavors without wilting the lettuce. Croutons are added on top just before serving to maintain their crispness. This dish offers contrasting textures with the softness of pasta, the freshness of vegetables, and crunch from the bread pieces. It is a filling, flavorful side dish or main course alternative that channels a familiar fast food flavor profile.
