Ingredients
For the sliders
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- 2 tablespoons minced dried onion
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 6-8 slider buns depending on size
- 6 American cheese singles
- 1 recipe Big Mac sauce
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Dill pickle chips for serving
- shredded lettuce for serving
- Optional pinch of dried oregano for garnish
- cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, minced onion, paprika, garlic powder and salt until well combined.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the bottom of your baking dish.
- Place the baking dish into the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through.
- Add on 6 slices of cheese. Return the pan to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Cut or slice and open slider rolls. Spread the hamburger sauce over the bottom of the buns.
- Using a spatula, remove the large burger patty and place over the bottom buns. *Note: depending on your bun size you may need to trim the patty.
- Top with a layer of pickles and shredded lettuce.
- Place the bun tops onto the lettuce and brush lightly with the melted butter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and dried oregano (optional).
- Serve immediately with a side of fries or chips.
Notes
- Time Saving Tip. To save time on game day, cook your meat and prepare the secret sauce a day before. Simply reheat the meat in the microwave and assemble the sliders when you're ready to serve.
- Don't Over-Mix Your Meat. This will make your burgers dense and tough. Use your hands and mix until just combined.
- Cutting Your Burger Patties. Make sure they are the right size for your slider buns to make sure each bite has the perfect ratio of meat and bun.
- Pressing the Beef in the Pan. Make sure to press your beef evenly into the pan so burgers are all the same thickness once baked.
- Enjoy Mini Big Mac Sandwiches. For weekend nights at home, a football tailgate party, potluck, as an entire meal, or simple appetizer.
