Description
This Birthday Cake Pie begins with baking a deep-dish pie crust until golden brown, creating a crisp and buttery base. Separately, heavy cream is whipped to medium peaks before folding in vanilla cake mix to form a dense, fluffy creme. Instant vanilla pudding mix is prepared with cold milk and thickened before being folded into the whipped cake cream mixture, creating a smooth, creamy filling.
Confetti sprinkles folded throughout add bright, colorful spots reminiscent of a birthday cake inside a pie. The assembled filling is spread evenly into the cooled pie crust and refrigerated for at least four hours to allow the pie to set firmly while maintaining a light and airy texture.
This pie provides a sweet, creamy dessert with the nostalgic flavor of vanilla cake and pudding combined into a no-bake filling, perfect for parties or anytime sweet cravings arise.
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust deep dish
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup vanilla cake mix
- 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups milk cold
- 3 tablespoons confetti sprinkles , (See note above recipe)
Instructions
- Bake pie crust at 375 degrees in pie pan it until it turns golden brown, about 18-20 minutes.
- Add heavy cream to your stand mixer on high speed for 1-2 minutes until they reach medium peaks. Add in cake mix until stiff peaks form, about 2 minutes more.
- In a large bowl add the pudding mix to your milk and let thicken for five minutes.
- Fold the whipped cream into your pudding mix then finally fold in your confetti sprinkles.
- Spread pudding filling into pie crust then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
