Blackened Steak and Shrimp Alfredo

Blackened Steak and Shrimp Alfredo combines seasoned steak cubes and shrimp with penne pasta and a creamy sauce blended from heavy cream and Parmesan. The blackened seasoning imparts a smoky, spicy flavor to the proteins, which are cooked separately before being brought together in a rich, garlic-scented sauce. This dish offers a blend of textures from tender meat and seafood, al dente pasta, and a velvety sauce, delivering a satisfying meal for those looking to combine surf and turf with classic Italian flavors.

Description

The Blackened Steak and Shrimp Alfredo recipe centers on penne pasta cooked al dente and a sauce made from heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and aromatics like onion and garlic. The steak is cut into one-inch cubes and, along with shrimp, seasoned with blackened spice before searing each separately in oil and butter to develop charred, aromatic crusts while maintaining juiciness inside. The sauce is prepared by sautéing onions and garlic before adding cream, cheese, and seasonings, thickening to coat the pasta.

This dish balances the spicy, smoky blackened flavor of the proteins with the creamy richness of the Alfredo sauce. The penne provides a firm bite, complementing the tender shrimp and steak cubes. The butter, cheese, and cream contribute to a lush texture that carries the seasoning well, while fresh parsley adds color and a mild herbaceous note as a garnish.

Serving this dish warm allows the sauce to remain creamy and the seafood and steak to retain their tenderness. It suits dinners where a hearty, flavorful meal combining seafood and red meat is desired. The combination of blackened spices and cheese sauce offers a distinctive take on classic Alfredo, enhanced by bold seasoning.
