Blue Cheese and Bacon Burgers

Blue Cheese and Bacon Burgers combine ground beef blended with blue cheese crumbles, diced bacon, Worcestershire sauce, and herbs, resulting in juicy patties with rich, savory flavors. Cooked in a skillet and served on toasted buns with fresh lettuce, tomato, and avocado slices, these burgers balance creamy, tangy cheese with smoky bacon and fresh accompaniments for a satisfying meal.

Description

These Blue Cheese and Bacon Burgers are prepared by mixing ground beef with partially cooked diced bacon, crumbled blue cheese, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. The mixture is gently combined to avoid overworking the meat, then formed into patties featuring a small well in the center to promote even cooking and maintain juiciness. The patties are chilled before cooking to firm up their shape.

The cooking method involves skillet-cooking over medium-high heat, initially searing both sides before covering to finish cooking through. Buns are toasted in butter or mayonnaise on the skillet to add texture and richness. The burgers are assembled with tomato slices, lettuce, and avocado to complement the rich, savory flavor of the meat and cheese.

This recipe yields four burgers and makes a hearty main dish suitable for casual meals. Adjustments include increasing beef quantity to make more patties without changing the seasoning ratios. Handling the meat gently and chilling the patties beforehand ensures tender, juicy burgers.
