Blue Cheese Dressing

Blue Cheese Dressing is a creamy condiment made from sour cream, mayonnaise, blue cheese crumbles, and seasoned with garlic powder, white pepper, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and fresh parsley. It offers a rich, tangy, and slightly sharp flavor with a smooth texture and chunky cheese bits, suitable for salads or dips.

Description

This dressing blends sour cream and mayonnaise to create a thick, creamy base. Garlic powder and white pepper add subtle savory notes while Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice provide tang and depth. Blue cheese crumbles are folded in to contribute a distinctive sharpness and texture, complemented by fresh parsley for a mild herbaceous hint. Mixing until smooth with visible chunks balances creaminess and piquant cheese flavor.

The dressing is ready to use immediately but benefits from chilling for a few hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld and thicken. It can accompany leafy green salads, vegetable crudités, buffalo wings, or be spread on sandwiches. The recipe yields approximately 1 3/4 cups, with a serving size of about 3 tablespoons.
