  • 2 teaspoons sanding sugar coarse
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • ounces tequila blanco
  • ounces blue cura ao
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • ½ ounce agave syrup
  • lime slices, sprigs, for garnish
  • mint slices, sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the sugar and salt on a small plate and stir to combine.
  2. Dip the rim of a glass in water, then put the rim of the glass into the plate of salt and sugar. Turn the glass to coat the rim, then place the glass upright.
  3. Add ice to a cocktail shaker, then pour in the tequila, blue curacao, lime juice and agave syrup.
  4. Seal the shaker, then shake to combine. Add ice to the glass, then strain the drink into the glass.
  5. Add a slice of lime and mint sprig for garnish, then serve.

Notes

  • The Blue Margarita recipe is for a single serving; increase quantities proportionally to make more drinks.
