Blueberry Banana Smoothie

The Blueberry Banana Smoothie blends fresh or frozen blueberries and bananas with milk and chia seeds for a creamy, naturally sweet beverage. The optional ice brightens the texture when fresh fruit is used, making it a refreshing and nourishing drink option.

Description

Combining 1 cup of blueberries and 2 large bananas with milk and chia seeds in a blender creates a smooth, vibrant smoothie. The fruit puree offers sweetness and a creamy consistency, while chia seeds add slight thickness and a nutritional boost. If fresh fruits are used, adding ice enhances the chill and texture.

Variations include adding natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or dates for extra sweetness, and incorporating greens such as spinach or kale for added nutrition without overpowering flavor. Substituting blueberries with other frozen fruits can tailor the taste. Protein powders or seeds like flax or hemp can boost sustenance when desired.

This smoothie serves well as a quick breakfast or snack, delivering fruit, fiber, and hydration in an easy-to-make drink.
