  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups milk preferably skim or 2%
  • 2 egg large
  • 6 tablespoons butter melted and cooled, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the milk and eggs together, then add the mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Pour in the melted and cooled butter along with the vanilla extract, and stir until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the fresh blueberries and distribute evenly.
  6. Ladle the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, close the lid, and cook until golden brown.
  7. Serve the waffles hot with your choice of toppings.
