Bourbon Peach Slush
Description
The drink preparation begins by making a peach simple syrup through simmering sliced peaches with equal parts water and granulated sugar. After steeping and cooling, the syrup retains fresh peach flavor and sweetness. Blending this syrup with bourbon and ice produces a frosty, smooth slush drink.
The final beverage offers balanced sweetness with the warmth of bourbon and bright peach flavor. The crushed ice adds a refreshing texture suitable for warm weather or as a casual cocktail.
Serving with fresh peach slices enhances presentation and adds a subtle fresh aroma.
If fresh peaches are unavailable, frozen sliced peaches can substitute for making the syrup without sacrificing flavor.
