Bow Tie Pasta Recipe

This Bow Tie Pasta Recipe features farfalle pasta tossed in a creamy tomato sauce enriched with garlic, Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil. The sauce balances the acidity of diced tomatoes with a touch of sugar and seasoning, creating a silky coating for the tender pasta. The addition of fresh basil adds a bright, herbal finish to the dish.

Description

Bow tie pasta, or farfalle, is cooked until just tender and combined with a gently simmered sauce made from olive oil, minced garlic, diced petite tomatoes, and a bit of sugar to offset acidity. Heavy cream is added to bring a smooth texture, then Parmesan cheese is stirred in to melt and enrich the flavor. Freshly chopped basil is folded in at the end to infuse the dish with a fresh herbal note.

The sauce is prepared on the stovetop with careful seasoning of salt and pepper, resulting in a balanced and creamy tomato-based pasta dish. Since the pasta is stirred into the sauce while hot, it absorbs the flavors well. Serve immediately to enjoy the creamy consistency and aromatic qualities.
