Breakfast Biscuits Casserole
Description
Breakfast Biscuits Casserole starts with cooking ground breakfast sausage until fully done. Canned biscuits are cut into pieces and spread in the bottom of a greased casserole dish, creating a base that will absorb eggs and sausage juices. The sausage layer is spread evenly over the biscuits.
Whisked eggs are poured over the sausage and biscuit layers, and shredded cheddar cheese tops the casserole. Baking at 350°F for 25-35 minutes allows the eggs to set and the biscuits to become tender and flavorful from soaking the rich layers beneath.
The finished casserole combines the softness of biscuits with savory sausage and melted cheese. It works well for feeding a group and can be served warm for a filling breakfast or brunch.
