Breakfast Crescent Ring
Description
Breakfast Crescent Ring is prepared by first beating eggs with chopped red and green bell peppers, seasoned with salt and pepper, then scrambling the mixture and setting it aside. Refrigerated crescent roll dough triangles are arranged overlapping on parchment paper to form a star shape. Each piece is topped with a slice of fried bacon and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Half of the scrambled eggs is spooned around the ring's base and topped with remaining cheese. The crescent dough is folded inward over the filling, tucking edges toward the center to enclose the mixture. An optional egg wash of beaten egg and water brushed on the dough promotes a golden finish when baked. The ring bakes at 375°F for about 20 minutes, until the crescents are cooked through and golden brown. The result is a flaky, cheesy ring with savory bacon and soft bell pepper-spiced eggs inside, suitable for sharing at breakfast or brunch.
