For the Dough:
- active dry yeast 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet

- granulated sugar ¼ cup
- butter unsalted, melted, ¼ cup
- salt
- egg 2 large
- all-purpose flour 4 cups
For the Filling:
- breakfast sausage ½ pound, cooked and crumbled
- cheddar cheese shredded; 1 cup
- Bacon ½ cup cooked and crumbled
- egg 6 large, scrambled
- green onion chopped; ¼ cup
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
For the Topping:
- butter 2 tablespoons, melted
- cheddar cheese shredded, 1/4 cup
- parsley fresh, chopped, for garnish, 1 tablespoon
Instructions
Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and active dry yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add the granulated sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Filling:
- In a medium bowl, combine the cooked breakfast sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, scrambled eggs, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Assemble the Rolls:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Roll out the risen dough into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick.
- Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
- Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Cut into 12 equal slices.
- Place the rolls in the prepared baking dish. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls:
- Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
