Breakfast Wrap
Description
This Breakfast Wrap recipe assembles simple breakfast staples into a convenient and flavorful handheld dish. The eggs are whisked with salt and pepper, then cooked into small omelettes. Bacon is cooked separately until crisp and chopped, providing a salty, smoky contrast. Fresh spinach and cheddar cheese add freshness and a mild sharpness, while sliced avocado contributes creaminess.
The whole wheat tortillas are spread with barbecue sauce before layering the ingredients, adding a sweet and tangy note. The mixture is rolled tightly to hold the fillings and maintain structure while eating. The combination results in a satisfying mix of textures and flavors within each bite.
This wrap serves well as a quick breakfast or brunch option. It pairs nicely with crispy sides like hash browns or home fries for a fuller meal. Adjusting the vegetable fillings or cheese allows customization to taste preferences or to incorporate extra nutrients.
Note that overfilling can make rolling difficult, so it's best to keep the layers moderate. These wraps also freeze well and can be stored for up to two months, providing a convenient make-ahead option.
