  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper coarse ground
  • 6 cups broccoli , cut into small florets
  • 1/2 red onion , finely chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 pound Bacon , cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

Instructions

  1. In a very large bowl mix the mayonnaise, sugar, white vinegar, Kosher salt and black pepper. Add in the broccoli, red onion and raisins into the bowl and mix.
  2. Top with the bacon and the sunflower seeds. Mix broccoli, bacon, red onion, and raisins in a bowl.
  3. Leave in the refrigerator for at least an hour, preferably 2 hours.

Notes

  • Allow the salad to chill for at least one hour before serving to let flavors meld and the texture soften slightly.
  • Use cooked and crumbled bacon for smoky savory contrast.
