Ingredients
- 4 lobster tails 4 ounces each
- ¼ cup butter softened
- 1 clove garlic minced
- zest of ½ lemon
- 1 ½ tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions
How to Make Compound Butter
- Add all the ingredients except the lobster tails into a small mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
- Scoop out the butter mixture onto a piece of parchment paper and shape in the form of a log. You can use something with a flat edge like a dough scraper to help make it easier.
- Twist the ends to seal it up and refrigerate until firm. When you're ready make the lobster, cut the log into discs.
How to Broil Lobster Tails
- Take each lobster tail and using kitchen shears, cut the top of the shell all the way to the tail. Open up the shell to reveal the lobster meat, then carefully separate the lobster meal from the shell. Pull the meat up over the shells, so the meat is sitting on top.
- Add a disc of the compound butter to the top of each lobster tail and place on a baking sheet.
- Place the rack in the upper ⅓ section of your oven, then turn it on broil. Broil the lobster tails for 4-6 minutes (or 1-2 minutes per ounce) until the meat is opaque and white in the center. It should measure 140°F using a thermometer.
- Serve with melted butter and sliced of lemon on the side.
Notes
- I highly recommend doubling the batch of compound butter so you'll have plenty leftover to use on your steak, chicken, veggies and more!
