Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

Report
Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots are sliced carrots simmered until tender, then coated in a sweet glaze of brown sugar, butter, and salt. This method creates a sticky, buttery coating that enhances the carrots’ natural flavor and offers a warm, comforting side dish.

Description

Start by slicing peeled carrots into ½ inch pieces and simmering them in water over medium-high heat until tender, about 8 to 10 minutes. After draining excess water, brown sugar, butter, and salt are stirred in and cooked further to form a glossy glaze that clings to the carrots. The glaze thickens slightly as it cooks, adding a sweet and rich finish.

The dish highlights the balance of sweet and savory elements, making it a popular accompaniment to roasted or grilled meats. Serve warm to maintain the sauce’s smooth texture and shine.
